SAB BIO is seeking a Laboratory Technician I ADQC to support data entry and verification, lab housekeeping, and sample handling in a cGMP environment. The role involves assistance with AD/QC methods, environmental monitoring, and equipment coordination.

  • Sterilize and maintain glassware and lab instruments.
  • Ship samples and assist with reagent/sample preparation.
  • Visually inspect finished products and monitor equipment calibration.

Job description

The Laboratory Technician I ADQC is a full-time position primarily responsible for data entry, data verification against source documents, laboratory support duties such as glassware cleaning and sterilization, lab cleaning and maintenance, assist with environmental monitoring, sample shipments, reagent and sample preparation for AD/QC methods/testing, visual inspection of finished products, tracking and coordinating equipment calibration and maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
  • Data entry into Excel spreadsheet or other analysis software from test reports, COTs/COAs, batch records etc
  • Data verification against source documents
  • Cleaning, disinfection and environmental monitoring of all cGMP facilities of ADQC and supporting areas
  • Cleaning, disinfection, maintenance and sterilization of laboratory glassware, instruments, relevant materials, and lab spaces
  • Sample shipments
  • Support reagent and sample preparation for methods and testing
  • Visual inspection of finished products
  • Keep track of equipment calibration and maintenance schedules and coordinate the activities with Facilities or the Vendor as appropriate
  • Maintenance of equipment and equipment parts
  • Transport laboratory materials across company locations
  • Supporting LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) activities
  • Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Certifications:
  • High school degree (or equivalent) with 1-3 years of equivalent work experience
  • Associate degree in a biological, medical, or scientific field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and diligence in following established processes, procedures, SOP’s etc
  • Excellent time management, record keeping, and written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook), to the level appropriate for the role
  • Basic mathematical skills to consist of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, lift, stand and sit. This job requires the ability to work in a regular laboratory setting and an office environment from time to time. Ability to lift upto 25 pounds. Able to drive periodically. Specific vision abilities required by this individual include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will view a computer monitor for long periods of time.

Working Environment:

Duties will be performed in normal office, laboratory, including BSL2 laboratory environments.

Driving for pickups and deliveries may be required on an occasional basis and would typically occur during manufacturing runs. Valid driver’s license is required.
