Job summary

GFMCO, LLC is seeking a Lab Technician in Cordele, GA to support lab operations, perform chemical analyses, microstructure work, and sand testing. The role includes maintaining records and assisting with coremaking, molding, pouring, and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Chemical (Spectro) Analyses: furnace, ladle, casting, and incoming scrap metal.
• Microstructure: Nodularity of poured samples and microstructure etching.
• Sand Testing: support for core making and molding processes.
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of test equipment and lab facilities.
• Test Bars: collection, Hardness testing, and prepare for pick-up.
• Defect Analyses: obtain material, sectioning, microstructural preparation, and review.
• Customer Data for PPAP: Chemical analyses, Hardness testing, microstructural preparation, NDT, Hydrostatic testing, and review.
• File and maintain production records for coremaking, molding, pouring and cleaning departments.
• Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Summary Description:
