Job summary

A leading logistics company located in Brunswick, GA, is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to ensure quality standards and safety compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing QC inspectors, maintaining quality records, and ensuring adequate staffing. Qualifications

Job description

  • Following each production planning meeting, ensure there are QC inspectors assigned to each of the process areas to be worked on by the Production teams by coordinating with the Senior Department Manager and/or Survey Team Lead daily.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition teams to ensure adequate labor levels are met for the upcoming demands.
  • Report to the Senior Department Manager concerning recurring or serious deficiencies, as they occur.
  • Ensure that all QC records and files required by customers are maintained and stored as required.
  • Update and maintain QC employee time and attendance records.
  • Ensure department training courses are up to date and properly documented.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00pm-1:00am & Friday 3:00pm-12:00am with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid US Driver’s License
  • Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
  • 1+ year experience in Quality Control or other Auto Port Processing Operations.
  • Drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to use/operate two-way radio.
  • General knowledge of automobiles and repairs.
  • Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Must be able to create a plan for upcoming work.
  • Must be able to communicate potentially critical information to others without appearing confrontational.
  • Must have demonstrated commitment to attending work through their past employment record.
  • Must be flexible and capable of adjusting work plans as issues arise.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Working Attributes
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop throughout shift
  • Vision adequate to detect minor imperfections that could possibly be overlooked in previous inspections.
  • Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects and other conditions which may exist from time to time.
