Job summary

DiscGenics seeks a Supervisor, Quality Control (Bioassay) to lead a 1–5 person QC team in potency, identity and functional bioassays supporting product release and stability testing.

You will manage equipment, validate methods, ensure data integrity, and train staff in GMP-compliant QC operations, fostering collaboration across the organization to deliver high-quality regenerative therapies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a laboratory setting with hands-on cell-based/bioassay testing.
• Minimum 6 years in a GMP environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biologics, or cell/gene therapy industries.
• Prior supervision of a laboratory team with strong leadership and collaboration.
• Independent and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to protect confidential information.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day QC laboratory operations for cell-based potency, identity, and functional assays.
• Supervise 1-5 QC analysts; manage workloads and provide feedback.
• Ensure GMP compliance, method validations, and data integrity.
• Maintain equipment qualification lifecycle and SOPs for QC activities.
• Prepare OOS/LIR records and CAPA actions.
• Provide LIMS support for QC assays and data trending.
• Train staff on bioassay methods and QC procedures.
