Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance / QC helper to test and monitor products for compliance with specifications in a plant setting. You will evaluate products, perform tests, and maintain documentation to ensure quality control throughout manufacturing.

The role requires reading and writing English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following safety and PPE guidelines.

Position Summary

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluates products for compliance per specifications.
• Understanding, evaluating and executing the tests, and procedures properly
• Maintaining and setting up documentation and control procedures
• Picking up samples and carrying out checks and tests
• Understanding and comprehending Product Vision guidelines for quality aspects
• Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required

Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Temperatures in the cooking area can exceed 80 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots or overshoes, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’s, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF and Quality requirements.

Employee Safety Responsibilities

• Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
• Use proper lifting techniques
• Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
• Use personal assistance (buddy)
• Use handrails
• Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Position Qualifications

• Prefer High School Diploma/GED
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
• Math Skills
• Reliable, Self-Driven, Minimum Supervision
• Must be able to read and write English

• Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
