Job summary

Actus Nutrition in Wautoma, WI is seeking a QC Specialist to join our 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:00PM). Pay is based on experience.

The ideal candidate will perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, and maintain lab operations in a food-grade manufacturing environment. Qualified applicants will have QC/QA experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing QC/QA experience, preferably in a food grade manufacturing plant.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedure and computer software applications.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical procedures on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Record all testing results and report data accurately.
• Notify QC Supervisor/Quality Manager when ingredients or products do not meet specs.
• Assist with product problem investigations and customer concerns.
• Respond to internal calls to answer technical product questions.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, chemicals, equipment and parts.
• Follow GMPs and safety guidelines to keep a clean, safe work area.
• Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage lab database tracking and create reports from the system.
• Store hazardous materials safely and identify storage locations.
• Read and interpret lab results, SOPs, GMP Manuals and HACCP procedures.

We are currently seeking a QC Specialist to join the Wautoma, WI team.

Pay: Based on experience.

Shift : 2nd shift, 2:00PM-10:00PM. Starting wage for this position is based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform analytical procedures on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products. Record all testing results in timely manner and perform computations leading to accurate data reporting.
• Timely notify QC Supervisor/Quality Manager and others as appropriate when ingredients or products do not meet specifications. Assist with product problem investigation and resolution as well as customer concerns.
• Respond to internal calls to answer technical product questions.
• Maintain laboratory supplies including chemicals, equipment and equipment parts.
• Follow plant and laboratory GMP’s and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment as required. Troubleshoot any equipment issues.
• Ensure all laboratory chemical MSDS ‘s are reviewed and filed.
• Manage lab database tracking on all daily lab analysis for both finished products and ingredients. Create/develop reports as needed from the system.
• Maintain and organize all storage locations for hazardous materials and supplies in a safe, well identified location.
• Read and properly interpret documents such as lab results, SOPs, GMP Manuals, HACCP programs and procedure manuals.
