Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Massachusetts is seeking a Quality Control professional to ensure the quality and reliability of products through analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

You'll follow cGMP/GLP and GDP documentation, perform methods such as HPLC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testing, and maintain meticulous records while collaborating with a skilled team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related field
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP and quality management systems
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques: HPLC, ICP-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy and dissolution testing
  • Experience with microbiological testing methods and aseptic techniques
  • Strong computer skills including LIMS, MS Office and analytical software
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with pharmacopeia standards and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality control and reliability of products in a GMP/GLP environment
  • Perform testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products
  • Document test results and participate in investigations and continuous improvement
  • Follow SOPs and GDP documentation; maintain up-to-date records
  • Operate laboratory equipment; assist with calibration and maintenance
  • Collaborate with team and communicate findings clearly

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials

DESCRIPTION: Be part of our Quality Control team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute by ensuring the quality and reliability of products that help make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll perform testing and analysis to support the development of innovative therapeutic products. You'll conduct quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques. You'll document and analyze test results, participate in investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree, no prior experience required. Experience in quality control laboratory environment, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related scientific field

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and quality management systems
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, ICP-MS, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and dissolution testing
  • Experience with microbiological testing methods and aseptic techniques
  • Ability to follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation per GDP requirements
  • Strong computer skills including LIMS, Microsoft Office, and analytical software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Knowledge of relevant pharmacopeia standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Flexible scheduling may be required
  • Physical ability to perform laboratory work including PPE usage
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $53,300.00–$79,925.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
