Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr. QA Technician to ensure products meet the highest quality and reliability standards at our Seattle facility.

You will conduct inspections, review batch production and analytical records, and help manage SOP development and training programs. The role emphasizes ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, identifying quality issues, and driving continuous improvement in collaboration with process owners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a life science or related field; 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience (pharmaceutical or cGMP experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with compliance & regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and review batch production and analytical records as per the defined procedures for release.
  • Maintain comprehensive records & documentation.
  • Manage physical records storage & location mapping.
  • Coordinate supplier questionnaires & qualification of vendors/suppliers.
  • Assist and manage the establishment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); assist in routine maintenance of SOPs, including periodic reviews.
  • Effectively communicate and follow up on QMS records with process owners.
  • Implement QA procedures and guidelines and assist in maintaining compliance status to standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate to identify & call out potential quality issues.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis investigations and support effective implementation of CAPA.
  • Assist in training programs & maintain training records as necessary.
  • Process waiver release requests, lot hold queries from the distribution center as required.
