Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is hiring a Sample Management Specialist for a 1st shift in New York. You will verify submissions, document transactions in LIMS, and handle, store, and transport samples within a regulated facility.

The role requires a Life Sciences degree, 2+ years of relevant experience, and leadership ability. Excellent communication and adherence to SOPs are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Life Sciences or related concentration.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Verify sample submissions to Quality Control.
• Document sample transactions in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Handle, storage, and organization of samples.
• Deliver samples to QC laboratories for testing as required.
• Interact with outside customers and functional peer groups.
• Fulfilling sample pull requests.
• Compliance with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
• Conduct temperature, environmental, and/or CO2 monitoring.
• Preparation of samples for shipment.
• Performing sample inventory and disposal.
• Ensuring compliance with SOPs; reports any quality or other anomalies through the Deviation Notification and Resolution system.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Sample Management Specialists in a regulated facility
• Coordinates, supports, and monitors performance of team through quality metrics while ensuring client deadlines are met
• Coordinates with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines.
• Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the team
• Manage time off and payroll entries of the team
• May participate in new hire interviews
• Supports the on-boarding process of new employees
• Participates in training of other employees.

Additional Information

• Position is full-time, schedule is 1st shift Sunday - Wednesday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Base pay is between $26.00-$30.00/hr. A $50 flat-rate weekend shift differential will also be included for weekend shifts.
