Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Chatsworth, CA seeks a QC Receiving Inspector for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. Primary duties include inspecting incoming raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods to ensure GMP and quality standards before storage or use in production.

You will verify documents, sample materials, document results, and coordinate with QA, Warehouse, and Production to disposition materials accordingly.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with GMP and quality systems.
• Ability to read specifications, COAs, SOPs, and batch docs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to identify quality defects and make objective decisions.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders, COAs, specs, and receiving docs.
• Collect samples for testing and retain samples as required.
• Conduct visual inspections for damage, contamination, labeling accuracy, and packaging integrity.
• Record inspection results in QMS and inspection logs.
• Place materials in quarantine, approved, or rejected status as needed.
• Coordinate with QA, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Production on material disposition.
• Maintain traceability of inspected materials.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, ISO, and company procedures.
• Investigate and document non-conforming materials and support CAPA activities.
• Monitor warehouse conditions for proper storage of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sampling/inspection areas.
• Participate in audits and regulatory inspections when required.
• Assist with cycle counts and material reconciliation as needed.
