Job summary

Graceland Fruit, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a quality-focused technician to gather process samples and perform tests, entering results into the Graceland DAQ system. This role supports the Quality department and reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include rapid data entry, accurate testing (Brix, acid, micro), and flexible schedule with potential weekends. Must quickly become qualified on required tools and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must qualify in chemical training, Lock out Tag out process, data entry, and process testing (including Brix and acid) within one month.
• High-level verbal and written communication skills.
• Record and review data, interpret data collected.
• Be flexible to work holidays and weekends on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Gather process samples and perform defined testing accurately and promptly.
• Enter test results into the Graceland DAQ system.
• Support quality assurance activities and data recording.
• Adapt to rotating shift schedules as demanded by operations.

$16.50 per hour (plus $2/hour for night shift premium, if applicable) (annual wage is $39,600)

Job Summary

Gather process samples and perform defined testing on the samples accurately and promptly, entering the test results into the Graceland DAQ system.

Job Requirements

Must become qualified in the following within one month’s time from hire date:

Chemical training, Lock out Tag out process, computer data entry process, process testing (including Brix and acid), micro testing, raw fruit testing, syrup and juice concentrate (barrel off) testing.

High-level communications skills both verbal and written

Have the ability to :

Record and review data, interpret data collected.

Work flexible workdays and work hours depending on demands of the company or process.

Work holidays and weekends on a rotating shift schedule.

Candidate must have critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements

Able to use ladders, working on elevated platforms and working at different elevations.

Must be able to see/differentiate all primary colors.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Any other duties or directives which the Company, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate.
