Job summary

Q4S seeks an experienced QC Inspector for offshore North Sea projects to ensure the quality of constructions and installations, contributing to safety and reliability in complex operations.

You will perform QC checks, draft and verify ITPs, monitor compliance with standards, document results, and advise on improvements while participating in audits and maintaining clear communication with the project team and client.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of offshore QC inspector experience.
• MBO4 or HBO education completed.
• Solid knowledge of NEN-EN-ISO, AWS, API standards.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to work offshore for extended periods and hold required certifications.

About the role

Are you an experienced QC Inspector with a passion for offshore projects? For our client in the North Sea, we are looking for a driven professional who will ensure the quality of constructions and installations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards and directly contribute to the safety and reliability of complex offshore operations.

Responsibilities

• You will perform quality checks on offshore constructions and installations.
• You will draw up and check Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• You will monitor compliance with specifications, standards, and procedures.
• You will accurately document inspection results and any deviations.
• You will proactively advise on quality improvements.
• You will participate in audits and reviews.
• You will communicate effectively with the project team and the client regarding quality matters.

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a QC inspector in the offshore industry.
• You have completed an MBO4 or HBO education.
• You have demonstrable knowledge of relevant norms and standards (e.g., NEN-EN-ISO, AWS, API).
• You have excellent command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing.
• You are willing to work offshore for longer periods.
• You are stress-resistant and able to operate independently.
• You are in possession of a valid VCA VOL certificate.
• You have a valid offshore medical examination (NOGEPA).
• You have a HuTec (Basic Offshore Safety Introduction & Emergency Training) certificate.
• You are in possession of a Level 2 certification for visual inspection (VT Level 2).

Nice to have

• Experience with various NDT techniques (VT, PT, MT, UT).
• Knowledge of coating inspection.
• Experience with specific project software.
