Job summary

VARITE INC is seeking a Quality Control Microbiology Tech - I for our Frederick, MD site. This onsite role supports clinical and commercial cell therapy products in a GMP environment.

You will perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring, ensuring sample integrity and compliance with quality systems. The position requires an AA degree with related experience or a HS diploma with relevant microbiology background, and includes a 12-month contract with 4x10 hour shifts (Wed–Sat,

Qualifications

• AA degree with 1+ year microbiology lab or environmental monitoring experience, or HS with 2+ years.
• Willing to work onsite four days a week with 10-hour shifts.
• Knowledge of GMP, SOPs and quality control processes for commercial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing for clinical and commercial products.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and utility monitoring activities.
• Receive, inspect, and store purchased media and supplies.
• Monitor biohazardous waste with EHS coordination.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Manufacturing, QA and other site functions.
