Job summary

Lifecore Biomedical in Chaska, MN is seeking a QC Microbiologist I for 1st shift to ensure accurate, reproducible QC testing in support of manufacturing.

The role involves testing in-process, final and raw materials; documenting results; maintaining cleanroom qualification and gowning; and collaborating with teams to ensure timely release of products.

Qualifications

• BS in Microbiology or related life science is required.
• Experience in GMP lab applications.
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on in-process product, final product, and raw materials for routine testing, validation testing, and stability testing.
• Communicate results through documentation and batch records, statistical analysis and trending.
• Acquire and maintain cleanroom and gowning qualification, including hygiene and physical requirements for gowning.
• Maintain awareness of and perform all support activities necessary for cleanroom work.

The QC Microbiologist Iwill ensure accurate, reproducible, and timely QC testing in support of manufacturing. They will have the opportunity to:

• Perform testing on in-process product, final product, and raw materials for routine testing, validation testing, and stability testing
• Communicate results through appropriate documentation and batch records, statistical analysis and trending
• Acquire and maintain cleanroom and gowning qualification which include maintaining proper hygiene and meeting physical challenges (balance, flexibility, etc.) that are involved in the gowning process
• Maintain awareness of and perform all support activities necessary for cleanroom work

This position could be a great fit for you if you have a high attention detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced laboratory along with the following:

• BS in Microbiology or related life science
• Experience in GMP lab applications
• Basic understanding of biological technology and methodology
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
• Proven ability to work independently as well as function effectively as a team member
• Proven ability to maintain a high attention to detail

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift

Starting Salary: $57,000 - $61,000 annually with consideration for relevant skills and experience
