Job Purpose: Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities. Ensure that Material Handlers operate forklift and walkie equipment safely at all times following all safety policies and procedures. This position reports to the shift supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Properly receive, unload, move, and tag incoming parts and equipment.
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).

Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing.

Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner. Pull and stage parts for production and complete requisitions for parts shortages. Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment. Must comply with the company's safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and maintain cleanliness standards. Learn day-to-day warehouse operations. Verify orders are complete and accurate. Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and ensure product safety. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and lead.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality are essential.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed and provide coverage for other shifts.
• Major experience operating sit-down forklifts and walkie equipment.
• Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill orders.
• Experience in cross-docking freight processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
