Job summary

Sunstall Inc. seeks a Quality Control Manager for Federal/DOD construction projects based at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

You will manage daily QC activities, lead meetings, inspections, submittals, and ensure testing complies with contract documents and applicable codes. You will prepare QC certifications, track RFIs, maintain submittal registers, and build collaborative relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and internal team members to deliver fully compliant

Qualifications

• Experience with Federal/DOD construction projects.
• Knowledge of contract documents, procedures and testing.
• Completion of the CQM for Contractor's course.

Responsibilities

• Implement QC program at assigned job sites.
• Conduct preparatory and initial phase inspections.
• Prepare and submit Quality Control Daily Reports.
• Track submittals to Government; maintain submittal register.
• Maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subs, and vendors.
• Understand and apply contract documents thoroughly.
• Implement QC procedures: document control, RFIs, samples, and non-conformance logs.
• Maintain QC testing log and deficiency log.
• Oversee project close-out.

EssentialDuties

• ImplementtheConstructionQualityControlProgramatassignedjobsites.

• Musthaveacomprehensiveworkingknowledgeandunderstandingofthecontractdocuments.

• MaintaintheQCTestingLoganddeficiencylog.

Qualifications

MinimumoffiveyearsofFederal/DODconstructionexperience.Relevantexperiencemayincludenewbuildingconstruction,design-build,buildingrenovations,civilwork,etc.

• Completionofthe“ConstructionQualitymanagement”(CQM)forContractor'scourse.
• Knowledgeofconstruction(i.e.,prints,plansprocedures,schedulingandtesting).
• MusthavestrongcomputerskillsandfamiliaritywithMicrosoftOfficeSuite.
• Mustbeabletomanageprojectsof2to10millioninsize.
• Mustbeabletotravel.
• MustbeabletoobtainaccesstoaFederalInstallation.
