Job summary

RealREPP is seeking a QC Manager to lead quality control for heavy civil federal construction projects in South Texas, including border wall segments. The role supports the Prime Contractor and mentors QC staff, with required USACE project experience and an active CQM certification.

Responsibilities include auditing QC procedures, coordinating client meetings, training staff, and guiding the QC program's strategic growth, while ensuring compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Prior experience with design-build federal construction projects.
• CQM certification (or ability to renew).
• Experience with three-phase control, submittals, inspections, testing, deficiency tracking, and government coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to train and mentor more junior personnel in support of QC program.

Job description

The selected QC Manager will be a key addition to the team for heavy civil federal construction projects in South Texas including sections of border wall. This position supports the Prime Contractor, and assists with the professional development of QC Specialist staff. Prior experience with USACE projects and active CQM certification is required for serious consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Auditing projects for compliance with designated QC procedures
• Serving as the primary point of contact to coordinate and conduct meetings with the client
• Supporting the Technical Director on QC initiatives and hiring plans
• Supporting project management through ongoing training of QC specialists assigned to projects
• Providing appropriate technical guidance and assistance to ensure departmental consistency
• Assisting in the development of a strategic growth plan for the division

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant heavy civil construction experience
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Prior experience with design-build federal construction projects
• Prior QC Manager experience on at least 2 projects exceeding $10M in value
• CQM certification (or ability to renew)
• Knowledge of wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective people management skills including the ability to delegate
• Willingness to train and mentor more junior personnel in support of QC program
• Experience with three-phase control, submittals, inspections, testing, deficiency tracking, and government coordination

Compensation Package

• Salary 135-165k (based on experience)
