About the Opportunity We’re partnering with a 40‑year‑old, privately held U.S. manufacturer seeking a QC Manager in the Greater NYC area. This company manufactures customizable electrical components for OEM customers around the world, with products used across industries such as security inspection, food inspection, and NDT instrument manufacturing. This is a replacement role reporting directly to the President. It is a strong fit for a quality professional who enjoys building structure, improving standards, and helping ensure complex technical products meet quality and safety expectations.

What You’ll Do You’ll lead quality control efforts across products, standards, testing, inspection, and compliance.

  • Develop and implement QC programs
  • Ensure products meet quality and safety standards
  • Develop quality standards and measurements
  • Support testing and inspection of products
  • Follow up on customer complaints and quality issues
  • Develop company standards and procedures
  • Support compliance efforts
  • Assist with ISO 9001 certification

Who You Are You are a detail‑oriented quality professional who understands how important consistency, accuracy, and documentation are in a manufacturing environment. You are comfortable working with technical products and can read and understand detailed technical documents, including schematics, BOMs, and blueprints. You would do well here if you enjoy creating standards, solving quality issues, and working closely with leadership to strengthen quality systems.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • 5+ years of QC, compliance, or quality assurance experience
  • Manufacturing background required
  • Experience in medical, analytical instruments, semiconductors, electronics, or a similar technical environment preferred
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, BOMs, blueprints, and other technical documents
  • Experience developing quality standards and procedures and measurements
  • Experience with product testing, inspection, complaints, and quality issue follow‑up
  • Ability to travel to customers and/or other company locations, including possible international travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field preferred, ideally Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Why This Role Matters This role is important because quality is directly tied to customer trust, product safety, and long-term growth. The QC Manager will help strengthen programs, standards, procedures, and compliance across a technical manufacturing environment. For someone who enjoys technical products, quality ownership, and building stronger systems, this is a meaningful opportunity to step into a role where the work matters.
