Job Responsibilities and Requirements
- Ensure the quality of the product meets customer standards, including:
- Monitoring and recording product weights
- Checking color, odor, and texture
- Checking seal integrity and performing burst testing
- Verifying product code, fill temperature, and quality
- Completing tear downs for each seamer head on the running seamer
Notify supervisor of any out-of-specification measurements after rechecking and documentationRecord information on Quality log sheets and input data into the Quality control computer for reviewParticipate as a team member: Engage in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team policies; coordinate work to ensure best practices; attend team meetings; foster cohesiveness; identify and resolve issues related to team dynamicsUnderstand Simmons' operating systems principles and objectives: Be familiar with company systems related to quality, security, environment, and policies; communicate concerns and improvement ideasSupport business objectives by performing other duties as needed, encouraging creativity and flexibility in your rolePhysical Activities: Sit, stand, and walk regularly during workPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE): Steel-toed shoes, ear plugs, hair netTravel: Not applicableTechnical Experience: Experience in manufacturing/process environments with knowledge of Good Manufacturing PracticesIndustry Experience: Background in manufacturingMinimum Education: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred Education: Some college or technical schoolQualifications, Skills, Behaviors, Motivations, Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications
