Position Summary:

The QC Laboratory Associate I is responsible for fulfilling the needs of the Quality Control Department’s requirements for analytical testing in biological and chemical areas, examination of product, components, and performing equipment and process validations. The QC Laboratory Associate I performs independent tasks of moderate complexity with some guidance from higher-level positions and demonstrates problem-solving skills. The position also involves laboratory daily organizational duties.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Supports the lab in preparing and updating test methods, specifications, procedures, and related documents.
  • Assists in chemical testing activities.
  • Updates training activities and related SAP system.
  • Updates daily testing activities, including trending.
  • Adheres to good laboratory practices, documentation practices, housekeeping, and manufacturing processes.
  • Supports the Lab in achieving departmental objectives and targets.

The job function listed is not exhaustive and may include additional responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Requires working knowledge of the technical field/area of specialization, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Works under direct supervision with detailed instructions, using established procedures.
  • May require limited judgment in problem resolution.
  • Contacts are mainly with department staff and occasional external contacts.
Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education
  • High school diploma/G.E.D required; Associate's or technical degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Regular on-site attendance required.
Physical Demands

Employee must be able to sit, talk, hear, handle, reach, stand, and occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.

Work Environment

Moderate noise level; work in office, production, warehouse, and lab environments. Reasonable accommodations available.

Compensation Range

$49,809 - $59,771.
