Actalent in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a QC Lab Technician to provide laboratory support, prepare buffers and reagents, and perform measurements using QC instrumentation. The role requires independent and collaborative work and offers a 6-month contract with potential for full-time conversion.

The candidate should have a science background, 3+ months pipetting experience (academic acceptable), and be willing to work overtime. The job is onsite on first shift with start times between 6 AM–9 AM.

• Perform dilutions, initiate instruments, acquire and save data, and change staining solutions.
• Maintain cleaning and temperature logs in the lab.
• Handle biohazard disposal.
• Conduct raw material checks.

This position is responsible for providing laboratory support, preparing solutions and buffers used in QC testing, and performing measurements utilizing QC instrumentation. Additional responsibilities include instrument operation and calibration, cleaning, inventory management, and general lab and administrative duties. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Work Environment

The position operates in a lab environment, working Monday through Friday on the first shift. Employees can start between 6 AM and 9 AM, working an 8-hour shift with a 30-minute meal break. Once the start time is determined, it should remain consistent. There may be some overtime required. This role is initially a 6-month contract with the potential for transitioning into a full-time position.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
