Job summary
Sun Chemical in St. Charles, IL is seeking a QC Lab Tech I to support manufacturing by maintaining on-time product flow through quality control processes using EtQ, SAP, Outlook, Excel and color software.
Under direct supervision, you perform and document tests, ensure compliance with design specifications, and help maintain ISO quality records and KPI data.
An associate degree or technical trade training and strong computer skills are required; 2nd shift with competitive benefits is offered.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or technical trade school completed, or 5+ years in industry.
- Experience with chemical testing is preferred.
- Strong computer aptitude and English communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to document and follow procedures.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety initiatives and site protocol.
- Perform quality control tests on product samples.
- Maintain traceability of materials and documentation.
- Support calibration and equipment verification.
- Maintain ISO quality records and KPI data.
- Assist in quality investigations and problem solving.
- Coach and train other technicians as needed.
- Ensure product meets specifications and passes KPI targets.
