Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Laboratory Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality Department, oversee analytical testing, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards in a dynamic mining and manufacturing setting.

You will supervise staff, maintain documentation, interpret analytical results, and coordinate with mining, production, and sales on quality issues, while mentoring technicians and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AA degree in Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering or related field preferred.
• BS Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of supervision/leadership in a heavy manufacturing/mining environment required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Quality Department staff daily workload and task assignments.
• Maintain and oversee sample, measurement and documentation of chemical/physical properties.
• Provide analysis results and interpretations for product quality.
• Lead ISO internal audits and compliance with Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
• Train and develop laboratory technicians on procedures, data entry, and safety.
