Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Co-Op in Gurabo, PR for the 2027 term to join the Quality Control team. You will gain hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment while collaborating with QC, Supply Chain, Procurement and Operations teams.

The program runs January through December 2027, with a full-time schedule (40 hours per week) and opportunities to develop data-driven decision making and dashboard skills using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze laboratory material usage, inventory, and purchasing data.
  • Support development of a standardized QC laboratory purchasing process.
  • Assist in creating a site-wide laboratory materials database and baseline inventory.
  • Support Reduced Testing Plan initiatives through data collection and analysis.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities using Lean principles.
  • Prepare presentations and recommendations for leadership.

We are searching for the best talent for QC Lab Co-Opto be in Gurabo, PR.

Purpose:

Join the Quality Control team and support initiatives that improve laboratory operations, materials management, inventory visibility, and data-driven decision making. This co-op offers hands‑on experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment while working with QC, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze laboratory material usage, inventory, and purchasing data.
  • Support development of a standardized QC laboratory purchasing process.
  • Assist in creating a site‑wide laboratory materials database and baseline inventory.
  • Support Reduced Testing Plan initiatives through data collection and analysis.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement.
