A leading company is seeking a motivated individual for a Quality Control Laboratory position. The role involves testing samples and ensuring compliance with procedures. Strong attention to detail and a high school diploma are required for this entry-level role, providing a solid foundation in laboratory practices.
This position will provide assistance and support of Quality Control Laboratory activities pertaining to sample receipt, in-process testing, finished product physical testing, cleaning of laboratory glassware, and various administrative duties.
Job Duties
· Follow laboratory standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
· Confirm samples are correctly logged.
· Perform in-process testing of samples using laboratory equipment and techniques: *Analytical Balances *Micrometers * Particle Size Distribution * Bulk and Tapped Density *Friability * Hardness * Disintegration * Leak Testing * Appearance, color, aroma, and taste * Titrations * Karl Fischer Water Determination * Water Activity *Packaging Evaluation.
· Collect, clean, and store laboratory glassware and other supplies.
· Prepare, label, and document the preparation of reagents, samples, and standards according to current procedures.
· Maintain assigned work areas including reagent prep, glassware washing, and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition.
· Maintain good documentation practices.
· Complete documentation at the time of operation and maintain accurate and timely test records.
· Participate in laboratory report "by input” calculations and create certificate of analysis.
· Help prepare samples and paperwork for in-house and third-party testing.
· Perform other tasks, projects, and duties as assigned.
Requirements/Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
· Punctuality and the ability to maintain a good attendance record.
· Work in an environmentally controlled laboratory environment while wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
Physical Demands:
· Normal dexterity for QC analytical laboratory, such as pouring liquids, handling glassware, working with chemicals, and processing data.
