Job summary

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is seeking a quality-focused inspector for its Conroe, Texas facility. The role involves daily quality concerns, defect inspection, and collaboration with operations to ensure strict process controls.

Responsibilities include material and product inspection, identifying non-conforming items, and maintaining accurate documentation. Candidates should be able to multitask, stand for long periods, and work independently in a high-mmix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
• Tooling experience is required.
• Computer capable for data entry and inspection records.
• Able to stand, walk, squat, and move for 8+ hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Addresses daily quality concerns and questions.
• Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and quality issues.
• Work closely with operation teams to ensure process controls are in place and adequate to meet standard requirements.
• Ensure any non-conforming product is properly identified, quarantined and communicated.
• Examines material or product for surface defects such as crack, pits, and incomplete welds.
• Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
• Conduct incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection to procedures, specifications, drawings, samples, or illustrations.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
• Cleaning, organizing, and setting up workstations.
• Kitting or grouping required parts per job requirements.
• Must be able to easily multitask around the shop.

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix low volume sheet metal and structural fabrication facility that uses a variety of equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support over 19 production and assembly lines. The company serves customers in energy, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace. We operate out of a state of the art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.
