Qualifications

• 2+ years’ Quality Control experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints and customer drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements a plus.
• Familiar with document control and quality records.
• Proficient with precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Determine all new production jobs meet customer requirements, including material, color, size, and packaging.
• Ensure operators are trained and comply with in-process procedures.
• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final audit inspections.
• Verify non-conforming material is corrected and documented.
• Maintain samples for start-up and final product.
• Document all work instructions and quality control records.
• Serve as liaison between PSIMP departments and customers.

Salary Range: $19.00 To $19.50 Hourly

Summary/Objective:

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products to meet customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine all new production jobs meet customer requirements, (i.e. material, color, size, additives, assemblies, packaging, etc.).
• Assure operators are trained and comply with in-process procedures, (i.e. trimming, assembling, packaging, etc.).
• Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final audit inspections of products during the manufacturing process. Makes recommendations to approve/reject samples based on conformance requirements.
• Verify any non-conforming material or products are corrected and documented.
• Maintain all samples for start-up and final product.
• Perform customer mandated testing and related documentation.
• Serves as liaison between internal PSIMP departments and customers
• Document all work instructions and quality control documentation. This position is responsible for all document control activities for the facility.
• Participate in creating a culture of cooperation, support, continual improvement and overall team success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ Quality Control experience in a Lean manufacturing environment strongly desired
• Injection Molding experience is a plus
• Certified Auditor or some Auditor training is a plus
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements a plus.
• Must be able to manage Document Control workload with minimal supervision
• Use all basic precision mechanical measurement equipment including FARO Arm, calipers, micrometers, comparators, bore gages, etc.
• Must be familiar with quality practices and procedures, (i.e. sampling plans, tolerance, functional testing, and visual inspections).
• Comfortable reading blueprints and customer related drawings.
• Strong computer literacy skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management and manufacturing software.
• Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal, and must be able to interact with customers and employees.
• Strong attention to details, highly organized, able to multi-task.
• Must be punctual and dependable, able to work with little supervision. Must be able to maintain files in a neat and orderly manner
