Job summary

Pogue Construction Company is hiring a QC Inspector to join our on-site team in Texas. You will lead field inspections of concrete, structural steel, envelope and MEP work, ensuring alignment with drawings, specs and submittals.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction quality control, experience on data center or large industrial projects, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office. OSHA 30 and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction quality control experience, GC-side preferred.
• Experience with data center, mission-critical, or large industrial projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of site, concrete, structural steel, envelope, and MEP installations against drawings, specs, and approved submittals
• Run the three-phase QC process: preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections
• Witness and document third-party testing and special inspections (concrete, soils, welding, firestopping, and similar)
• Write, track, and close nonconformance reports and punch items, and follow up with subcontractors until resolved
• Maintain inspection logs, test reports, and photo documentation in our project software
• Support the QA/QC Manager with turnover documentation and owner and third-party quality audits
• Raise safety concerns immediately and support a zero-incident jobsite

About the role

Pogue is a 100% employee-owned general contractor, the #1 education GC in Texas and one of the largest in North Texas, and we are growing our data center and mission-critical work. We are staffing a ground-up data center campus and need a QC Inspector who takes pride in catching issues early, documenting them clearly, and working alongside the field team to get them fixed right. You will be an owner here, literally, through our ESOP.

What you will do

What you bring

• 3+ years of construction quality control experience, with GC-side experience strongly preferred
• Data center, mission-critical, or large industrial experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Preferred credentials: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, AWS CWI, ICC special inspector certifications, OSHA 30
• Clear written communication and the confidence to hold a standard respectfully
• Ability to work on an active jobsite in Texas weather, walk long distances, and climb ladders and stairs
