Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction quality control experience, GC-side experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Preferred credentials: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, AWS CWI, ICC special inspector, OSHA 30.
• Clear written communication and the confidence to hold a standard respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of site, concrete, structural steel, envelope, and MEP installations against drawings, specs, and approved submittals.
• Run the three-phase QC process: preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections.
• Witness and document third-party testing and special inspections (concrete, soils, welding, firestopping, etc).
• Write, track, and close nonconformance reports and punch items with subs to resolve.
• Maintain inspection logs, test reports, and photo documentation in project software.
• Support QA/QC Manager with turnover documentation and audits.
• Raise safety concerns and support a zero-incident jobsite.

About The Role

Pogue is a 100% employee-owned general contractor, the #1 education GC in Texas and one of the largest in North Texas, and we are growing our data center and mission-critical work. We are staffing a ground-up data center campus and need a QC Inspector who takes pride in catching issues early, documenting them clearly, and working alongside the field team to get them fixed right. You will be an owner here, literally, through our ESOP.

Reports to: QA/QC Manager

Type: Full-time, project-based

What You Will Do

• Perform daily field inspections of site, concrete, structural steel, envelope, and MEP installations against drawings, specs, and approved submittals
• Run the three-phase QC process: preparatory meetings, initial inspections, and follow-up inspections
• Witness and document third-party testing and special inspections (concrete, soils, welding, firestopping, and similar)
• Write, track, and close nonconformance reports and punch items, and follow up with subcontractors until resolved
• Maintain inspection logs, test reports, and photo documentation in our project software
• Support the QA/QC Manager with turnover documentation and owner and third-party quality audits
• Raise safety concerns immediately and support a zero-incident jobsite

What You Bring

• 3+ years of construction quality control experience, with GC-side experience strongly preferred
• Data center, mission-critical, or large industrial experience preferredAbility to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Preferred credentials: ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I, AWS CWI, ICC special inspector certifications, OSHA 30
• Clear written communication and the confidence to hold a standard respectfully
• Ability to work on an active jobsite in Texas weather, walk long distances, and climb ladders and stairs
