Job summary

Flooring Services LTD is seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will inspect cabinets throughout the assembly process to ensure they meet established quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

QC Inspector
Join Our Quality Assurance Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused QC Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting cabinets throughout the assembly process to ensure they meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a QC Inspector, you will:

  • Inspect cabinets on the assembly line to ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or workmanship issues in cabinet components and finished products.
  • Remove cabinets from the production line that do not meet quality standards and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Verify that cabinet dimensions, materials, hardware, finishes, and assembly meet required specifications.
  • Document inspection findings and complete required quality records and data entry tasks.
  • Communicate quality concerns to production team members and supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to lift and handle cabinet components and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to accurately perform written documentation and data entry tasks.
  • Ability to distinguish between different wood species and cabinet door styles.
  • Ability to identify and distinguish between various colors, stains, and finishes.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to read and use measuring tapes and calipers in metric dimensions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet hourly and daily production goals.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • On-the-job training may be provided for qualified candidates.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators, may be required in designated areas.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
