Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure product quality by inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished goods, and recording results. The role requires reading drawings, applying GD&T, and using precision measuring tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of related experience, plus strong attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency with Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related quality or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings and interpret dimensions and tolerances.
  • Experience using inspection tools and measurement instruments.
  • Proficiency with Windows PC and basic Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, in-process, and final inspection of finished products across technologies.
  • Interpret drawings for dimensional and visual requirements.
  • Generate NCRs for discrepant material.
  • Provide feedback on inspection results to QA and other departments.
  • Document inspection results in the internal QA database.
  • Follow guidelines for using and maintaining measurement tools.
  • Support the QA Manager or QC Lead with inspection issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Quality Control inspector will maintain Forecast3D quality standards by inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished products, and recording inspection results.

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receiving, in-process, and final inspection of finished product across all technologies.
  • Ability to use hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Interpret drawings for dimensional and visual requirements.
  • Generate NCRs for discrepant material.
  • Ability to understand GD&T and apply it to measuring parts.
  • Provides feedback to other departments on inspection results.
  • Documents inspection results using internal QA database.
  • Follow guidelines for using and maintaining measurement tools.
  • Provides feedback to the QA Manager or QC Lead on inspection issues.
  • Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned at any time.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of related experience in quality or manufacturing, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
  • Must have experience using inspection tools.
  • Must be able to navigate a Windows PC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Superior hand skills.
  • Production and inspection experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 or other industry standard a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The role requires frequent interaction with manufacturing operations, where PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required. Typical plant conditions with ambient temperature, standard lighting, and machining equipment in use.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and movement throughout manufacturing areas. May involve accessing or observing equipment in confined or elevated spaces, following all safety procedures.
