Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a hands-on QC/Hydro technician in Houston, Texas. The role involves performing hydro tests on gas compressor components, maintaining hydro charts, and supporting related manual-labor tasks.

You will work under supervision and must follow established guidelines to ensure safe operations. Applicants should have a GED or high school diploma and 2-4 years in the field, with basic computer skills and knowledge of QC/Hydro processes.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 2-4 years experience in QC/Hydro field or related area.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with common software.
• Knowledge of QC/Hydro concepts and procedures.
• Familiarity with pressure gauges, hydro pump, and chart recorder is a plus.
• Understanding flange rating and pressures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydro tests on gas compressor components.

• Check hydro equipment to ensure that they are clean and in working order
• Maintain detailed and accurate hydro charts
• Ability to perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
• Ability to assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.
• Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures
• Performs other functions/duties as required.

Working Conditions

• Work within office, assembly and fabrication shop, and field environments.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
