Job summary

A family owned engineering firm located in Shelton, CT is seeking a QC Final Inspector to join their Quality Control Department. This full-time day position requires detail-oriented inspections of fabricated parts, including paint, powder coating, and product assembly. Candidates should have at least 2 years of inspection experience, ideally within metal fabrication. A strong knowledge of inspection documents and the ability to identify non-conformance issues are essential. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a final inspection role, preferably within a metal fabrication environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of product assembly inspections.
• Experience with weld inspections and Weld Inspector Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide detail-oriented part and product inspections.
• Support inspections and product configuration verifications.
• Generate Quality Discrepancy Reports for non-conforming products.
• Define non-conformance issues with production departments.
• Perform and support all quality-related activities as assigned.

ANCO is a family owned and operated metal fabrication company located in Shelton, CT. ANCO has an immediate opening for a QC Final Inspector in support of our Quality Control Department. The right individual to fill this role will be highly energetic with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description

This is a full-time day position responsible for final inspection of our fabricated parts which includes, but is not limited to: Paint and Powder Coating, Product Assembly, Test, etc.

Position Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment providing detail oriented part and product inspections.
• Support various inspections and product configuration verifications based upon detailed drawings and various associated inspection documents.
• Generate detail oriented QDR (Quality Discrepancy Reports) for all non-conforming products.
• Work with all manufacturing and production departments to clearly and precisely define non-conformance issues.
• Perform and support all quality related activities as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a final inspection role, preferably within a metal fabrication environment.
• Working knowledge of paint and powder coating inspections.
• Working knowledge of product assembly inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret multi-page drawings and associated assembly documents.
• Working knowledge of CMM inspection and programming a plus.
• Working knowledge of weld inspections and current Weld Inspector Certification a plus.
