Job summary

Ascentec Engineering is seeking a QC Documentation Specialist to work onsite in Oregon. You will prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIRs) for semiconductor and aerospace customers, ensuring all documentation meets customer specs and quality standards.

The role collaborates with the quality team, reviews orders for compliance, annotates drawings, captures product photos, and supports source inspectors.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints for machined parts and assemblies.
• Experience with manufacturing document control or First Article documentation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit for approval, and maintain First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
• Review customer purchase orders and supplier purchase orders to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications
• Annotate FAIR and Dimensional Inspection Report (DIR) drawings with ballooned (bubble) numbers identifying all features and requirements
• Capture photographs of products, packaging, and labeling for inclusion in FAIR documentation
• Collaborate with customer source inspectors to review completed FAIRs
• Review with markup incoming product certification documents
• Perform additional duties as assigned
