Position Overview

As part of a team of Analytical Chemists, this position is responsible for performing analytical activities to support finished product and raw material groups.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine testing on raw materials and finished pharmaceuticals in compliance with cGMPs.
2. Execute wet chemical and analytical methods to assess drug purity, potency, and stability.
3. Identify synthetic impurities and degradation products using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques.
4. Perform analyses using HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, and FTIR.
5. Create and maintain accurate documentation.
6. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.
7. Ensure all work complies with company policies, GMP, health, and safety standards.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, Atomic Absorption, UV/Vis, FTIR instruments.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to wear PPE including gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, gloves.
• Vision requirements: 20/40 near vision; color vision.
• Maintain a clean-shaven appearance for respirator fitting.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, and communicate as needed.
