Job summary

Elanco is hiring a QC Chemist in Clinton, IN to support the Quality Control team, ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, and company requirements. You will mentor technicians, solve problems, and improve laboratory methods while collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing and technical services.

The role emphasizes root-cause investigations, protocol development, and participation in Lean initiatives to drive safety and productivity improvements. Strong analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledgeable of cGMP requirements and laboratory operations.
• Proficiency in SAP, Empower, OneLab, and Microsoft Office; strong quality mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the safety and quality (SISPQ) of products by ensuring compliance with all procedures, regulatory commitments, and PPE requirements.
• Serve as the primary investigator for laboratory deviations, performing root cause analysis to minimize recurrence and ensuring timely closure of investigations within 30 days.
• Maintain analytical methods in a state of validation and control, writing and approving protocols for investigational and validation purposes.
• Collaborate on special projects to enhance safety and productivity through Lean initiatives and participate in inspection readiness activities.
• Provide technical coaching and training to laboratory technicians to ensure the successful execution of laboratory methodology.
