Job summary

AbbVie Westport is seeking a Supervisor for the QC Bioassay lab to oversee the operation and release testing of biologics products. You will chair Tier 1 meetings, manage staffing, and ensure compliance with QA and EHS requirements.

Collaborate with Microbiology, Chemistry, Production, QA and Planning to ensure on-time product release. Lead talent development and drive process improvements within a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a laboratory setting with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of biologics manufacturing, bioassays, and biostatistics.
• Experience working in a GMP testing laboratory.
• Ability to lead teams and manage performance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Chair and run daily Tier 1 meetings and oversee lab activities.
• Schedule ancillary laboratory duties and ensure timely product release.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, and succession planning for the team.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and data integrity across QA and EHS.
• Collaborate with Microbiology, Chemistry, Production, QA and Planning to release products.
• Provide KPI data and participate in OPEX and departmental meetings.
