Astrix Inc. is partnering with a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility to place a QC Associate II in the Physical-Chemical Testing group. This onsite role at Fremont, CA, offers a 6-month contract with hours from Monday to Friday, 8-5, and compensation of $30-$35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related field required.
• 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
• GMP experience strongly preferred.
• Hands-on proficiency with UV-Vis absorbance, qPCR, and FTIR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a range of laboratory testing methods following qualification, including UV-Vis spectroscopy, qPCR, FTIR, and compendial test methods.
• Coordinate and execute routine and non-routine analytical testing in a multi-product facility.
• Maintain lab consumables and materials inventory, dispose of expired reagents, and flag equipment or process irregularities.
• Generate accurate, timely analytical results with a 'right first time' approach.
• Document all testing activities in full compliance with cGMP and cGDP standards.
• Follow site-specific SOPs, quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, hands-on analytical instrumentation skills, and a strong compliance mindset.
Type: 6-month contract | Location: Onsite in Fremont, CA | Hours: M-F 8-5 | Compensation: $30-$35/hr

What You'll Do
