Job summary

Astrix Inc. is partnering with a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility to place a QC Associate II in the Physical-Chemical Testing group. This onsite role at Fremont, CA, offers a 6-month contract with hours from Monday to Friday, 8-5, and compensation of $30-$35 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and strong analytical instrumentation skills. Responsibilities include performing UV-Vis spectroscopy, qPCR, FTIR, and various compendial methods; coordinating

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or related field required.
3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
GMP experience strongly preferred.
Hands-on proficiency with UV-Vis absorbance, qPCR, and FTIR preferred.

Responsibilities

Independently perform a range of laboratory testing methods following qualification, including UV-Vis spectroscopy, qPCR, FTIR, and compendial test methods.
Coordinate and execute routine and non-routine analytical testing in a multi-product facility.
Maintain lab consumables and materials inventory, dispose of expired reagents, and flag equipment or process irregularities.
Generate accurate, timely analytical results with a 'right first time' approach.
Document all testing activities in full compliance with cGMP and cGDP standards.
Follow site-specific SOPs, quality systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.
