Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Analytical Chemist in Verona, WI, to perform wet chemistry and release testing of raw materials in a GMP environment. The role focuses on material testing, documentation, and growing into HPLC/GC work with strong training and cross-team collaboration.

The position offers growth opportunities across quality and development teams, with hands-on instrumentation exposure and ongoing method validation support as experience increases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in chemistry or related life science.
• Completion of analytical chemistry coursework during undergraduate studies.
• Undergraduate research or internship in a chemistry lab, or 0–2 years GMP experience.
• Willingness to learn and apply HPLC and GC techniques.

Responsibilities

• Test incoming raw materials per USP/EP and internal specs before release.
• Perform wet chemistry tests (pH, IR, moisture, ID, titrations).
• Document results and deviations in notebooks and systems.
• Help update analytical protocols and methods as experience grows.
• Train on and perform HPLC/GC analyses for materials under supervision.
• Support method validation and transfer activities.
