Job summary

COATING PLACE LLC in Verona, WI is seeking a QC Analytical Chemist - Finished Products on a full-time basis. The role supports Production and Formulations by analyzing pharmaceutical and cleaning samples, following procedures, specifications, and methods, with supervision during training.

The position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus for new hires, 1st shift hours 8:00am–4:30pm, and full benefits. Requires a Bachelors in Chemistry or related field and lab equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Experience with laboratory equipment is desirable.
• Strong time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members.

Responsibilities

• Analyze pharmaceutical and/or cleaning samples per procedures and methods.
• Maintain cGMP notebook, data, forms and logbook.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized QC laboratory.
• Support adherence to SOPs, methods, and company standards.
• Perform basic calibrations as needed.

Training occurs on 1st Shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of the QC Analytical Chemist is to provide support to the Production and Formulations Departments by analyzing pharmaceutical and/or cleaning samples. Support will be provided by analyzing samples using various procedures including, but not limited to, internal procedures, specifications, and analytical methods; compendial monographs, client procedures, and miscellaneous protocols. The QC Analytical Chemist is expected to understand basic internal procedures, and conduct analyses with some supervision after training is complete.

In addition, support is provided by ensuring the essential job functions of this position are completed as part of the daily and/or weekly schedule.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures adherence to CPI Standard Operating Procedures, analytical methods, protocols, company standards, and applicable regulations.
• Analyzes pharmaceutical or cleaning samples.
• Ability to weigh samples, pipette, and prepare laboratory solutions.
• Performs or assists with basic calibrations.
• Maintains a cGMP laboratory notebook, data, forms, and/or logbook.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, organized QC laboratory.
• Lifts/carries objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
• Employees at CPI work with and/or are familiar with the GMP requirements for Food, Dietary Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, or other elements of each.
• Depending on the position, the employee will be aware of Halal and/or Kosher requirements.
• Follows all CPI cGMP practices, policies, and procedures.
• Follows all CPI safety practices, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience with the use and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment desirable.
• Possesses good time management skills to complete assignments/projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, co-workers, and/or clients.
