Job summary

NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes is seeking a QC-focused professional to support cGMP lab and manufacturing operations. The role involves sampling, material inspection, and general testing, with on-the-floor QC presence and documentation review in ERP systems.

Responsibilities include operating analytical instruments, environmental monitoring, and collaboration on validation documents; handling radioactive materials requires strict ALARA practices and dosimetry support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and minimum four years of experience in a regulated industry, or a Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, or related discipline, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with basic to advanced metrological equipment.
• Knowledge of ALARA principles, operating radiation detection equipment, and handling of radioactive materials.
• Benchtop chemistry, titration, chemical ID testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
• Operate analytical instrumentation.
• Provide on-the-floor QC presence for manufacturing operations.
• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components.
• Review and approve Receiving Inspection documents and release in ERP.
• Perform environmental monitoring tasks and plate reads.
• Isolate microorganisms.
• Collaborate on documents for manufacturing and quality testing including data, protocols, and SOPs.
• Safely handle radioactive material and monitor dose, sampling, and contamination surveys.
• Maintain QC and Micro lab housekeeping and inventory.
• Train others on methods, procedures and techniques.
• Participate in Project Teams and meetings.
