Job summary

GlobalPoint in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced QA Tester to support a large-scale enterprise application, focusing on manual testing, UAT, defect tracking, test documentation, SQL validation, API testing, and automation framework development.

Hybrid remote work is allowed, but in-person meetings are required when needed. Candidates should have 5–7 years QA testing experience, strong SQL, API testing, and experience with automation and DevOps integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
5-7 years of QA testing experience on IT projects.
Strong experience with manual testing and UAT.
Experience testing web services/APIs using SoapUI or Postman.
Strong SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with XML standards (NIEM XML preferred).

Responsibilities

Create test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Perform manual testing and UAT for application releases.
Document test results and prepare testing reports.
Log, track, and help resolve defects.
Validate requirements and traceability matrices.
Support testing activities for new application releases.
Create testing process documentation for the QA team.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain automation test frameworks and test suites.
Integrate automation testing with DevOps pipelines.
Present testing results and project updates when needed.
