CDC is seeking an experienced LCNC QA Tester to support enterprise-level data, analytics, and application modernization initiatives. You will ensure mission-critical public health applications are stable, secure, and fully validated before deployment to stakeholders.

The role emphasizes Agile quality assurance, test automation, AI-enhanced testing, and CI/CD implementation working across Dev, BI, and QA teams in a hybrid Atlanta environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience performing Agile Software Quality Assurance across the full SDLC.
  • Experience testing Low-Code, No-Code, and traditional (pro-code) applications.
  • 2+ years designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • 2+ years implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines or Jenkins.
  • Experience with AI-powered QA tools and practices (GitHub Copilot, Playwright, AI-assisted automation).
  • Strong QA methodologies, defect management, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web apps, APIs, and LCNC platforms.
  • Build and optimize cloud-based test environments using AWS, Azure, and Docker.
  • Implement AI-powered testing approaches using relevant tools.
  • Execute automated and manual testing activities including functional, regression, UAT, API validation, and usability testing.
  • Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and other tools.
  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects with cross-functional teams.
  • Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, scripts, and testing documentation.
  • Continuously improve test coverage and QA processes.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced LCNC QA Tester to support enterprise-level data, analytics, and application modernization initiatives at the CDC. This role is critical to ensuring that mission-critical public health applications are stable, secure, intuitive, and fully validated before deployment to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Agile quality assurance, test automation, CI/CD implementation, and AI-enhanced testing methodologies. This individual will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA professionals in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver high-quality Low-Code, No-Code, and traditional software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for web applications, APIs, and Low-Code/No-Code platforms.

  • Build and optimize cloud-based test environments utilizing technologies such as AWS, Azure, and Docker.

  • Implement AI-powered testing approaches using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Playwright, and Agentic UI Automation solutions.

  • Execute automated and manual testing activities, including:

  • Functional Testing

  • Regression Testing

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • API Validation

  • Usability Testing

  • Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other modern DevOps platforms.

  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution.

  • Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.

  • Continuously improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and overall QA processes.

  • Estimate testing efforts and provide recommendations for quality improvements throughout the SDLC.

  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices across the organization.

  • Ensure applications meet quality, security, compliance, functional, and performance standards.

Required QualificationsMust-Have Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience performing Agile Software Quality Assurance across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Experience testing Low-Code, No-Code, and traditional (pro-code) application solutions.

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.

  • 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

  • Azure DevOps

  • GitHub Actions

  • Bitbucket Pipelines

  • Jenkins

  • Experience leveraging AI-powered QA tools and practices, including:

  • GitHub Copilot

  • Playwright

  • AI-assisted test automation solutions

  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, defect management, and Agile delivery practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience automating test cases using Microsoft Playwright.

  • Experience with Agentic UI Automation platforms.

  • Experience applying AI-powered QA methodologies in enterprise environments.

  • Knowledge of Human-Centered Design (HCD) principles and accessibility testing.

  • Experience with Section 508 compliance testing.

  • Experience working within DevSecOps environments, including:

  • Secure CI/CD pipelines

  • Controlled deployments

  • Automated testing practices

  • Experience supporting federal government programs or large-scale digital modernization initiatives.

  • Familiarity with public health, healthcare, or data modernization programs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
