Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a QA Test Engineer to support the United States Postal Service. You will develop SRS documents, manage specifications, and lead Customer Acceptance Testing with automated scripts and MTAC participation.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in tech, strong data handling skills (CSV/XML/JSON), and experience with AI-driven automation. The role is on-site in Washington, DC, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• 5-7 years’ experience in technology or software development
• Experience creating manual and automated test scripts and performing CAT/UAT
• Experience performing production validation through smoke, regression and functional testing
• Experience with data files such as CSV, XML, JSON and relational databases
• Experience with MS O365 tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio, Access, Workflow)
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Java, Python
• Experience with API Testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies in software test management
• Demonstrated experience with automation testing tools and AI-enabled testing

Responsibilities

• Develop SRS documents for mail system specifications
• Maintain and update technical specifications and guides
• Lead Customer Acceptance Testing and document outcomes
• Provide MTAC participation and test artifacts
• Develop performance metrics for CAT status
• Develop automated test scripts
• Create training materials and SOPs related to CPPP applications
• Other related duties as assigned
