Base pay range
$18.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review castable set times provided by QA Monolithics in SAP and determine if additives are required before casting shapes.
- Use historical values in the ERP system to decide additive levels.
- Read drawings/prints to see what the specifications and dimensions of the forms are supposed to be.
- Verify form dimensions on all manufactured forms in the shapes department using a tape measure and calipers.
- Verify all new fabricated forms from outside vendors and input information into the shapes computer system.
- Measure shapes after casting to verify they meet size specifications.
- Record and maintain files of all results.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and develop efficient procedures.
- Assist QA Supervisor in investigating and resolving Customer Service Requests.
- Recommend measures to improve inspection, production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Qualifications
- Sufficient work and educational experience to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Ability to read prints and drawings.
- Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; SAP or similar ERP experience a plus.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand percentage calculations in both imperial and metric units.
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Attention to accuracy and quality, ability to follow SOPs, and willingness to improve performance.
Working Environment
- Office and manufacturing settings.
- Exposure to hot/cold conditions and dust on the plant floor.
- Compliance with Safety & Health policies and PPE requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Follow safety policies.
- Lifting, moving forms, and material handling.
- Consent to pre-employment and future drug screenings and physicals if required.
Wage Rate
$18.34 - $25.73
