Job summary

Paycom - ATS is looking for a Technical Services Technician to monitor production processes and ensure all products meet food safety and quality standards in line with company policies, USDA and BRC requirements.

The role requires strong reading, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to stand for 8 hours and work in a cold environment. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred to support accurate audits and regulatory checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred, especially in food processing.
• Excellent reading, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, memos, and correspondences.
• Must be able to stand 8 hours and lift/pull/push as required; comfortable in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitors production processes to ensure products meet company food safety and quality requirements.
• Conducts product audits for labeling, packaging, temperature, product specifications, and weights.
• Performs quality checks per HACCP, food safety, and USDA regulations.
• Inspects equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition and records findings; collects microbiological pre-op swabs.
• Conducts raw material audits to ensure incoming products meet specifications before production.

Job Title: Technical Services TechnicianReports to: Technical Services SupervisorSummary: The Quality Assurance Technician monitors production processes of the facility to ensureall products meet company food safety and quality requirements as set forth by company policies,customer requirements, USDA and BRC standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Complies with all food safety and quality policies, USDA regulations and BRC third partyrequirements. Models and coaches these expectations to other employees.• Ensures product meets internal and customer specifications and takes appropriate actions when anon-compliance issue is noted.• Conducts product audits for compliance to include (but not limited to) proper labeling, packaging,temperature, product specifications, and weights.• Performs and records quality checks on product and regulatory checks as specified within companyHACCP, food safety and quality programs and USDA regulations.• Inspects equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to start up and recordfindings. Collects microbiological pre-op swabs.• Conducts raw material audits to ensure incoming products are within specification beforeproduction.Education/Experience:• Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) years’ experience in a manufacturingsetting, preferably in a food-processing environment.• Excellent reading, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, anddivide units of U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements, etc.• Must be able to prioritize projects and multitask.• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability toread and interpret documents and routine correspondence. Responds promptly and professionally tocustomer needs. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.• Must be able to stand a minimum of eight hours and continuously lift, push, and pull. Requires theability to stand for the majority of the shift in a cold working condition and the use of PersonalProtective Equipment (i.e. safety equipment) such as hard hats, hair/beard nets, earplugs, etc.
