GCP PAPER USA, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a safety-minded QA Technician to join our Quality team.

You will perform routine floor inspections, line clearances, production startups, and laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process components, and newly developed products. This role ensures early detection of manufacturing deviations to guarantee product standardization and compliance with quality guidelines.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Valid TAPPI certification or Laboratory Technician certification required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, GMP, and quality standards.
• Experience with inventory ERP systems and Minitab is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform floor inspections and line clearances to verify quality procedures.
• Coordinate line startups and format changeovers with checklists.
• Collect and store retention samples for QA records.
• Perform lab tests on materials and issue quality determinations.
• Verify instrument calibration and perform routine maintenance.
• Respond to deviations and halt lines if specifications fail.
• Adhere to GLP and safety protocols on the plant floor.
