Job summary

Current-Lighting-Employee-Co-LL is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a full-time on-site role in Plympton, MA. You will conduct process and product audits, document procedures, and drive corrective actions to ensure production quality.

Requirements include 5+ years in fixture assembly or testing, SAP experience, and strong MS Office skills. Candidates should be able to manage multiple priorities and cross-train across quality functions on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fixture assembly, test, or a combination of both.
• Experience using SAP.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to create/edit documents, tables, forms, and photos.
• Experience in QC, Customer Service, or as a Team Coordinator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process and product audits to document procedures, control plans and specifications.
• Audit fixture assembly and perform first article inspection, first piece inspections.
• Record audit findings in database and coordinate corrective actions.
• Initiate non-conforming material / product disposition actions like QC hold, rework, scrap.
• Troubleshoot assembly and documentation issues to support production.
• Maintain quality documentation and ensure inspections are up-to-date with engineering changes.
• Assist with internal and external QMS audits.
• Operate basic computer tools including SAP and Microsoft Office to access drawings, BOMs and documentation.
• Maintain record keeping and filing of work forms.
• Perform failure analysis of products from production and customer returns.
• Occasional handling of materials for inspections and scrap processing.
• Check incoming parts and new parts to drawings; measure critical dimensions.
• Process scrap transactions in SAP; manage scrap disposition and non-conforming material.
