Downs Food Group is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician Lead for our plant in Madelia, MN. If you are someone who has experience working in the food industry and enjoys working with people, has excellent attention to detail, and can be on your feet throughout your shift, call or email TODAY!

Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

1. Evaluate raw materials, work in process and finished products for quality and safety
2. Perform seam audits
3. Check product weights
4. Verify dates
5. Check metal detectors
6. Verify CCPs for HACCP plan
7. Monitor GMPs
8. Collect samples for analysis
9. Perform bone audits
10. Inspect raw poultry
11. Calibrate thermometers
12. Monitor Retort operation
13. Ensure compliance to food safety requirements
14. Comply with all USDA regulations
15. Assist with continuous improvement tests
16. Ensure compliance with written product specs
17. Other duties as assigned
